Healthy lactating mothers with healthy babies, who are voluntarily willing to give their extra breastmilk for other babies without compromising the nutritional needs of their own baby can join to help infants. Mothers can donate milk if they are attending well baby clinics, their babies are in neonatal intensive care units, or have lost their babies but are willing to donate. Before donation, mothers will have to fill out a consent form which our volunteer will bring to her door step, this will be followed by donor screening, counselling, medical examination and laboratory testing. These measures are necessary to check the suitability of the breastmilk. Once the donor has cleared all these steps she will be sent to the designated milk collection area.
